MY STORY (condensed haha):
Well, I won't take you back 46 years to the day I was born, but I will take you back to about 13 years ago when my world was forever changed.
In June of 2012, my world changed. My mom was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Just one month later, I found out I was pregnant with our firstborn, Luke. I can’t even put into words what it felt like... holding joy and heartbreak in the same breath. I spent my pregnancy watching my mom’s body fade while feeling new life grow inside mine. It was the most painful, beautiful, gut-wrenching season of my life. She passed away a few weeks before Luke was born. She never got to hold him, but I feel her with me every single day, especially when I’m doing something that reminds me of her strength.
Hard to sometimes believe this but just a few years later, when I was three months pregnant with Blake, I lost my dad. I didn’t just lose my parents, I lost my anchors. But I also gained perspective. I realized how fragile this life really is, and how much we take our health for granted… until it’s gone.
Those years changed me. They cracked me open in the best and worst ways. They made me appreciate the power of food, movement, and mindset.... not just for looking good, but for living well and feeling really good. I learned that taking care of myself isn’t selfish; it’s a way to honor the people I’ve lost and the family I get to love every day.
It’s what drives me to help others - to make sure they never wait for a “wake-up call” to start taking care of themselves.
What I Believe
Real change comes from simple, sustainable habits - not perfection. No quick fixes, no magic pills, no juice cleanses. Just consistent effort, real food, and movement that builds strength inside and out.
My Path
Before coaching full-time, I spent nearly two decades in pharmaceutical sales in the areas of diabetes and obesity. In 2013, my husband and I founded Bedlam CrossFit, and in 2019, I launched Emmons Health!
I’ve been underweight, skinny fat, and overweight. I’ve chased every “perfect plan.” But I can tell you...in my 40s, I feel stronger and more confident than ever. Why? Because I’ve learned that consistency beats perfection every time. Perimenopause has only deepened my commitment to caring for my body through movement, nourishment, and mindset.
The Emmons Health Pillars
-
Find a coach + community that supports you.
-
Prioritize protein, fiber, + real whole foods.
-
Strength train - regularly + intentionally.
-
Sleep like it’s your full-time job.
-
Live with purpose + gratitude.
What This Means for You
If you’re looking for a quick fix, I’m not your coach. But if you’re ready to build real habits, get uncomfortable, and grow stronger.... inside and out... I’d be honored to help you. My goal is to be the last coach you ever need.
I want to be able to play with my grandkids on the floor and stand up on my own. I want that same kind of strength and freedom for you.
Ready When You Are
There’s no better time than now. Whether you’re just starting or ready to level up, I’d love to walk beside you.
We rise by lifting others.
Don’t Wait Too Long; your future self is counting on YOU! xo - Coach Jess
